Frequently asked questions

Does this email QR code expire?

No. This is a static QR code: the information is stored inside the pattern itself, not behind a redirect on our servers. It keeps working for as long as the printed code is readable, with no subscription, scan limit or watermark.

Is the email sent automatically when someone scans?

No. The scan only opens a draft. The person can read and edit it and must tap send themselves.

Which mail app opens?

Whatever app is set as the default mail app on the scanning phone, such as the built-in Mail app or another email client.

Can I add more than one recipient?

This tool creates a code for one address, which is the most reliable across phones. Use a shared inbox address if several people need the messages.
